Tan Yan Ni

Dear Sir/Madam,

Good day. My name is Yan Ni, and I am a recent graduate in chemical engineering in UCSI University Malaysia. As a fresh graduate in Chemical Engineering, I’m excited to come across the trainee engineer job opening in Gradiant Singapore.

As a student who has a strong passion in global energy and sustainability aspects, I gained the opportunity to be exposed to wastewater and water treatment industry throughout my internship period. This has allowed me to involve in an engineering consultancy working environment as well as working in an actual water treatment plant. The exposure to preliminary engineering designs and the experience in water treatment plant operation were the main key takeaways from the internships. In addition, reviewing engineering drawings (P&ID) and preparing relevant engineering documents (such as equipment & instrument specification list, operation & maintenance manual, and control philosophy) for various project clients were also the major learning outcomes from the internship. This has built me up with strong analytical skill and a problem solver mindset. Furthermore, business communication skills were enhanced through liaison with different clients and suppliers.

Besides giving full focus on my academic, I was also holding the position as MindFlu president in the past semesters, which is a student initiative in UCSI University that advocates for mental well-being and social inclusion among youth. This has allowed me to brush up my leadership skill and have distinctive experience in project management.

I would be delighted to be part of the team to contribute to the company’s mission, and to be a change maker in the industry. You may find my resume attached in the particular section. I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Thank you.

Best Regards,
Yan Ni
