About the Job

Job Summary:

Gradiant Corporation is focused on global industrial water treatment solutions. The company is looking for an experienced and capable Technical Accounting Director to join the team at its Singapore office. This role will be responsible for the documentation, communication and implementation of proposed and new accounting standards, and the accounting of complex financing, mergers and acquisitions and other new and unusual transactions. This position will help to manage the processes and internal controls associated with the identification, documentation, communication, and implementation of new accounting standards. Will participate and lead work streams under the IPO readiness mandate.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provides support and services to all corporate, regional, and subsidiaries regarding accounting and reporting issues, including business combinations, revenue, transfer pricing, impairment assessments, restructuring, among others
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship on accounting issues and the application of current and new accounting principles and regulatory pronouncements
  • Support completion of purchase accounting for business combinations, including review of internal and 3rd party valuations
  • Perform quarterly and annual investment impairment assessments
  • Advise divisions and corporate groups on accounting for restructuring and other corporate matters, including complex equity and debt transactions
  • Document accounting conclusions in comprehensive accounting memos
  • Support the annual statutory audit requirement for both company level and group consolidation in accordance with US GAAP and/or IFRS.
  • Assist in taxation strategy, planning & compliance to achieve an optimal tax position for the Group (Corporate Tax, GST/VAT/WHT etc)
  • Lead various accounting work streams as part of IPO readiness initiative

 

Requirements:

  • A Degree in Accounting or Finance with CPA
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar or progressively senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably within the EPC or Industrial companies
  • Prior public accounting experience preferred
  • Experience with IPO readiness will be a plus
  • Experience with regional statutory reporting and well versed with latest reporting standards and statement preparation and taxes
  • Experience with QuickBooks and Jedox (or equivalent) is a plus
  • Possess resilience in challenging situations and able to handle ambiguity and adapt to continually evolving circumstances in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of performing under tight deadlines and in an environment characterized by volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity
  • Possess strong business and leadership acumen
  • Possess strong communication skills
  • Exceptional financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills
