(Lo mismo ocurri\u00f3 con SUEZ e incluso con la adquisici\u00f3n de Betz por GE Water).<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Sin embargo, por muy contraintuitivo que fuera, ese enfoque, unido a la adopci\u00f3n de un s\u00f3lido modelo de negocio, convirti\u00f3 a Gradiant en una empresa de \u00e9xito. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Hpk_gPjm_1s\">en el primer unicornio de la tecnolog\u00eda del agua<\/a>.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Pero muchos a\u00fan te detendr\u00edan con una sonrisa burlona en congresos y ferias diciendo, <em>\"S\u00ed, eso es valoraci\u00f3n, pero la prueba est\u00e1 en el pud\u00edn, \u00bfno?\".<\/em><\/p><p><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p><p><strong><em>Veamos el pud\u00edn. <\/em><\/strong><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Cuando habl\u00e9 con Prakash a principios de a\u00f1o, me cont\u00f3 c\u00f3mo Gradiant alcanz\u00f3 unos ingresos de $200 millones en 2023, con una cartera de pedidos de $500 millones.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Ah\u00ed es donde este comunicado de prensa da un paso m\u00e1s: la empresa habr\u00eda firmado $337 millones de pedidos en el primer trimestre de 2024, con m\u00e1s de $500 millones en todo el primer semestre.<\/p><p><em>(Utilizo el condicional porque, como Gradiant no es p\u00fablico, estos resultados compartidos no son vinculantes)<\/em><\/p><p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 se cuece aqu\u00ed?<\/strong><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Lo he dicho en el pasado; lo dir\u00e9 de nuevo: Soy un muggle de las finanzas. As\u00ed que toma mi <em>\"an\u00e1lisis\"<\/em> con una pizca de sal \ud83d\ude00<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Gradiant obtuvo su estatus de unicornio en 2023 a trav\u00e9s de su Serie D de $225 Millones. Ese mismo a\u00f1o, alcanzaron los $200 Millones de ventas que acabo de mencionar.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Es una relaci\u00f3n precio-ventas de 5 a 1. <em>(si eres a\u00fan m\u00e1s muggle que yo, el ratio P\/S es cu\u00e1nto est\u00e1n dispuestos a pagar los inversores por cada d\u00f3lar de ventas).<\/em><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Para una empresa tecnol\u00f3gica, eso es <strong><em>bajo<\/em><\/strong>. Pero para una empresa industrial, eso es <strong><em>alta<\/em><\/strong>... entonces, digamos que es promedio si decimos que Gradiant es un <em>\"chico guay industrial\"<\/em><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>De todos modos, eso no es escandaloso para una empresa de alto crecimiento.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Ahora, con (supuestamente) $500 Millones de pedidos en la primera mitad de 2024, ser\u00eda razonable anticipar un a\u00f1o completo de $1 Bill\u00f3n para Gradiant... lo que es <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globalwaterintel.com\/articles\/gradiant-diversifies-to-hit-1bn-sales-target\">su objetivo de ventas para 2026<\/a>!<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Aplicando el mismo P\/S, la valoraci\u00f3n de Gradiant ascender\u00eda a $5.000 millones.
