Global Water Intelligence (GWI) a rencontr\u00e9 le groupe H+E de Gradiant pour discuter du r\u00f4le crucial du recyclage de l'eau dans la r\u00e9duction de la consommation et de la forte croissance de la fabrication de semi-conducteurs dans la r\u00e9gion, \u00e0 mesure que la loi sur les puces europ\u00e9ennes se met en place.<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-54955f5 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"54955f5\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-311d9cc\" data-id=\"311d9cc\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-13bb679 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"13bb679\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>ALLEMAGNE - 21 d\u00e9cembre 2023 -<\/strong> Alors que l'industrie allemande des semi-conducteurs reprend vie dans le sillage des nouvelles r\u00e8gles de d\u00e9veloppement de l'UE visant \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer la capacit\u00e9 de production locale, l'Europe commence \u00e0 envisager s\u00e9rieusement ses options pour l'industrie - et ses exigences strictes en mati\u00e8re d'eau.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Bien que les exigences du secteur en mati\u00e8re d'eau ultrapure (UPW) soient l\u00e9g\u00e8rement moins extr\u00eames que dans d'autres r\u00e9gions, l'accent mis sur la r\u00e9utilisation de l'eau et la minimisation de la consommation offre un potentiel important pour la mise en \u0153uvre de syst\u00e8mes de traitement \u00e0 haute valeur ajout\u00e9e.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>En Allemagne, l'activit\u00e9 s'est concentr\u00e9e sur des points n\u00e9vralgiques comme Dresde, o\u00f9 la Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) pr\u00e9voit d'implanter une nouvelle usine, rejoignant ainsi Bosch, X-Fab et les usines d'Infineon en pleine expansion. Cela a conduit \u00e0 l'annonce, cette ann\u00e9e, du projet \"Dresden 600\" de 600 millions d'euros du Conseil de drainage de Dresde. La capacit\u00e9 de la station d'\u00e9puration de Dresde-Kaditz sera ainsi augment\u00e9e de 100 000 EH pour faire face aux volumes croissants d'eaux us\u00e9es industrielles provenant du secteur des semi-conducteurs et pour r\u00e9pondre aux normes r\u00e9glementaires de plus en plus strictes de l'Union europ\u00e9enne. Le contrat relatif \u00e0 l'extension de la station d'\u00e9puration fait actuellement l'objet d'un appel d'offres, dont les soumissions sont attendues en f\u00e9vrier 2024.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Alors que les usines se pr\u00e9parent \u00e0 un afflux suppl\u00e9mentaire dans les \u00e9gouts municipaux, l'industrie s'int\u00e9resse \u00e0 la r\u00e9duction des rejets et \u00e0 l'optimisation du recyclage de l'eau sur place. \"Avec la rar\u00e9faction de l'eau dans des pays comme l'Allemagne, les usines ne peuvent plus compter sur l'eau potable de la municipalit\u00e9 locale et doivent donc chercher d'autres sources d'approvisionnement\", explique Daniel Bewg, directeur du d\u00e9veloppement commercial chez H+E, \u00e0 GWI. \"Elles ont besoin d'un syst\u00e8me de traitement de l'eau plus important et veulent recycler autant d'eau que possible.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Cette \u00e9volution s'inscrit dans la tendance mondiale des entreprises de semi-conducteurs \u00e0 se fixer des objectifs ambitieux en mati\u00e8re de d\u00e9veloppement durable, ce qui am\u00e9liore les perspectives pour les projets d'utilisation rationnelle et de r\u00e9utilisation de l'eau. Dans le cas de Global Foundries, son usine de Dresde est confront\u00e9e \u00e0 un stress hydrique plus important que ses sites de Singapour ou des \u00c9tats-Unis. Cela a conduit son \"Fab 1\" de Dresde \u00e0 installer une usine de recyclage des eaux us\u00e9es avec un taux de r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration de 75% afin de r\u00e9duire la consommation d'eau de 300 000 m\u00e8tres cubes.<sup>3<\/sup> par an, ainsi que plusieurs projets de conservation de l'eau qui permettent d'\u00e9conomiser environ 30 000 millions d'euros par an.<sup>3<\/sup> d'UPW par an.<\/p><p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>\u00c9volution de la demande d'eau us\u00e9e<\/strong><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Bien que les puces de plus grande taille actuellement produites en Europe aient des exigences en mati\u00e8re d'eau l\u00e9g\u00e8rement plus simples que les puces plus petites qui alimentent les march\u00e9s am\u00e9ricain et asiatique, les exigences en mati\u00e8re de qualit\u00e9 de l'UPW augmentent au fur et \u00e0 mesure que des usines de fabrication plus avanc\u00e9es apparaissent dans la r\u00e9gion.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Cette d\u00e9cision intervient alors que les responsables politiques de l'UE et le secteur industriel cherchent \u00e0 acqu\u00e9rir une certaine autonomie par rapport aux cha\u00eenes d'approvisionnement mondiales en puces. \"Ce qui manque \u00e0 l'Europe, ce sont des installations de fabrication pour les puces qui n\u00e9cessitent la plus petite taille de n\u0153ud existante\", explique Frank B\u00f6senberg, directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de l'organisation de l'industrie des semi-conducteurs Silicon Saxony. \"Si l'on descend en dessous de 10 nanom\u00e8tres, personne en Europe n'est actuellement capable de les fabriquer - c'est l\u00e0 que l'investissement d'Intel est cens\u00e9 aider.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Alors que l'usine d'Intel pr\u00e9vue \u00e0 Magdebourg devrait produire les plus petites puces en Europe, les besoins en eau d'autres usines de pointe, telles que la future usine de TSMC qui produira des puces de 12 nm, repr\u00e9sentent toujours des opportunit\u00e9s significatives pour les fournisseurs d'UPW. \u00c9tant donn\u00e9 que la demande de puces en Europe est fortement aliment\u00e9e par les n\u0153uds de puces g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement plus grands de l'industrie automobile, il est peu probable que l'on assiste \u00e0 une \u00e9volution compl\u00e8te vers les n\u0153uds les plus petits. N\u00e9anmoins, une \u00e9volution notable vers des n\u0153uds plus avanc\u00e9s et des usines plus grandes fait progresser les besoins en eau du secteur.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Actes de l'Europe<\/strong><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>La loi sur les puces europ\u00e9ennes, qui est entr\u00e9e en vigueur en septembre 2023, fournit un cadre permettant aux \u00c9tats membres de subventionner l'industrie des semi-conducteurs. L'Allemagne a \u00e9t\u00e9 la plus active dans l'utilisation de cette loi pour mobiliser des fonds, avec 20 milliards d'euros mis \u00e0 disposition pour soutenir les entreprises qui s'installent ou d\u00e9veloppent des usines de fabrication dans le pays. Cette mesure a permis d'attirer les projets d'usines d'Intel, d'Infineon, de ZF\/Wolfspeed et de TSMC, qui pr\u00e9voient des investissements de 48 milliards d'euros dans le secteur de la fabrication. Avec des projets d'installations aussi importants, on s'attend \u00e0 ce que d'importants contrats d'approvisionnement en eau suivent.<\/p><p>Le succ\u00e8s initial observ\u00e9 en Allemagne n'a toutefois pas encore \u00e9t\u00e9 reproduit \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle ailleurs en Europe. Outre le financement de l'Allemagne et de l'UE elle-m\u00eame (11,15 milliards d'euros d'ici \u00e0 2030), seule l'Espagne s'est engag\u00e9e \u00e0 subventionner l'industrie (12,25 milliards d'euros d'ici \u00e0 2027). Bien que des projets individuels et des expansions aient \u00e9t\u00e9 esquiss\u00e9s en Espagne, en France, en Pologne et en R\u00e9publique tch\u00e8que, il pourrait s'av\u00e9rer difficile d'attirer l'industrie des semi-conducteurs sans d'autres programmes de subventions importants. L'ambition de l'UE de s'emparer d'une part de 20% du march\u00e9 mondial des semi-conducteurs d'ici 2030 - contre environ 8% aujourd'hui - semble donc extr\u00eamement ambitieuse.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Par cons\u00e9quent, bien que l'int\u00e9r\u00eat des acteurs cl\u00e9s du secteur de l'eau et de l'assainissement soit grandissant et qu'une s\u00e9rie de croissance ait eu lieu, il faudra probablement une augmentation significative des programmes de soutien gouvernemental \u00e0 long terme pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 ces ambitions. Les entreprises qui s'installent en Europe ont des exigences plus \u00e9lev\u00e9es en mati\u00e8re de qualit\u00e9 de l'eau, ce qui signifie que votre cha\u00eene d'approvisionnement est fortement sollicit\u00e9e en ce moment, car nous n'avons pas l'habitude de voir ce niveau d'activit\u00e9 en Europe.<\/p><p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Opportunit\u00e9s pour la cha\u00eene d'approvisionnement<\/strong><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Alors qu'une grande partie de l'activit\u00e9 pr\u00e9vue dans le secteur de l'eau en est encore au stade de la planification, les fournisseurs d'eau potable se pr\u00e9parent \u00e0 s'implanter sur le march\u00e9 europ\u00e9en en plein essor. C'est ce qui ressort d'une s\u00e9rie d'acquisitions d'UPW annonc\u00e9es au cours de cette seule ann\u00e9e : Gradiant a acquis Aquarion AG (soci\u00e9t\u00e9 m\u00e8re de H+E), Kurita a acquis Arcade Engineering Group, fournisseur d'usines d'eau chaude cl\u00e9s en main, et Exyte a acquis Intega, fournisseur de syst\u00e8mes d'eau ultra-pure.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Il est essentiel d'avoir une forte pr\u00e9sence physique sur le continent pour assurer une prestation de services efficace dans le secteur. Pour les entreprises d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9tablies dans la r\u00e9gion, telles qu'Ovivo, leader du march\u00e9 de l'UPW, l'accent est plut\u00f4t mis sur l'\u00e9largissement de leur offre. Philippe Rychen, directeur mondial de l'innovation chez Ovivo, nous a expliqu\u00e9 : \"Nous sommes tr\u00e8s actifs en mati\u00e8re d'innovation, principalement parce que nous voulons servir nos clients et que nous devons donc leur fournir des solutions de qualit\u00e9 sup\u00e9rieure.<\/p><p>Outre les offres techniques n\u00e9cessaires \u00e0 la production d'UPW, M.
