Amid growing awareness of water contamination by harmful “Forever Chemicals,” Boston Globe’s Aaron Pressman writes about how Gradiant, an MIT spinout, offers a new solution that not only filters out per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) substances but also destroys these substances. The solution, called “ForeverGone,” fits inside a shipping container and is ready for commercial deployment. Gradiant's solution promises cost savings and increased efficiency in PFAS removal.
