The Sales Manager, Mining & Power plays a crucial role in fostering strong customer relationships and driving sales growth. This position involves selling water and process technologies and services to businesses in the Mining & Power industries. The Sales Manager will work closely with clients to understand their needs, lead cross-functional teams in the development of differentiated offerings, communicate compelling value propositions, and support the delivery of complete solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to penetrate the Mining & Power industries, identify potential customers, and secure new business opportunities
- Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitors to identify opportunities for growth and adaptation
- Analyze market data to identify potential clients, market segments, and emerging trends within the Mining & Power markets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and decision-makers
- Understand client needs, challenges, and objectives to tailor water treatment and process solutions effectively
- Conduct presentations and demonstrations to clients, showcasing the benefits and advantages of the company’s technologies and offerings
- Collaborate with technical experts to ensure accurate and compelling presentations
- Oversee the entire sales process from prospecting to contract negotiation and closing deals
- Create and manage sales forecasts, budgets, and reports for senior management
- Develop a strong understanding of water treatment and process technologies relevant to the Mining & Power industries
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in applicable water treatment and process technologies to provide informed recommendations to clients
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to ensure mutually beneficial agreements
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all contracts
Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience selling water treatment systems and services (into the Mining & Power Industry is a plus)
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Knowledge of water treatment technologies, equipment, and processes, with a focus on applications in the Mining & Power industries
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Leadership and team management capabilities
- Ability to travel (40-50%) to meet with clients and attend industry events
